Based in Raheen, Co Wexford we are a purpose built community-based
childcare facility who offer a range of high quality, affordable and
accessible childcare options to meet the needs of parents and their
children in their early years and throughout their primary school life
in a safe, friendly, and child-centred environment. We also have 2
other locations in Adamstown and Ratharogue.
With strong roots in our community, the Early Year?s Service is part
of ARC Family Resources Centre which is managed by our FRC Manager &
governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. A range of community-based
supports are offered including family support, senior provision, adult
education. We pride ourselves on always making our service relevant to
the needs of the community.
Our fantastic childcare service has a really great team of
professional staff who serve our wonderful children. We are now
recruiting for a Childcare Manager who will continue the upward
trajectory of our childcare facility to make it one of the leading
such facilities in the country.
CHILDCARE MANAGER
The Manager will ensure that the welfare of children using the service
is paramount and that the needs of children are met. The role of the
Manager will be to provide the highest standards of professional
leadership and management and will also be responsible for the day to
day running of the Early Years Services.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Be Honours Degree Level 8 or above in Early Childhood Education and
Care or related discipline.
* Have minimum 3 years Early Years Practice Management with
experience of Staff supervision.
* Be committed to supporting children?s rights with a firm
understanding of child welfare and protection.
* Have a robust knowledge and understanding of the sector and
associated regulatory requirements.
* Be proficient & knowledgeable around the areas of all Early
Year?s referral processes (early intervention/assessment of
need/speech & language/child protection)
* Have the ability to facilitate all inspections and compliance
checks carried out in the service including, but not limited to Tusla
Early years inspection, Pobal compliance and Department of Education
inspections.
* Have a sound working knowledge of GDPR regulations and data
protection policies needed when engaging in sensitive and confidential
practice.
* Have a track record of professional development in a childcare
setting.
* Community childcare experience highly desirable.
* Possess a sound understanding of financial management in line with
sectoral requirements.
* Be proficient in the use of technology including computer-based
reporting systems (PIP, Hive etc.)
* An understanding of implementing Aistear & Siolta.
* Have excellent communication and people management skills
developed in an Early Years environment.
* Possess strong planning and organisational skills.

* Salary negotiable with experience and qualification.
